Artistic expression in the form of painting, graphics and spatial forms is a meeting with my own true self and a continuous search through posing myself new questions. It is an attempt to tame the conflicts and emotions inside me. What I find important is the very process of creation, fascinating at every stage. From the first sketches and concepts, to sometimes totally surprising decisions while finalising the work. I care about the material from which I create, trying to give the right form to the content of the message.
I get inspired by everyday life, contemporary world with all the processes which take place in it: globalization, technologization, digitization, computerization, iconization, standardization and their influence on man and culture. I am interested in the psychological aspect of man as an individual confronted with the iconized reality that surrounds him. Trying to find his true self in the excess of everything that surrounds us. Creation allows me to reach peace of mind and balance in today’s speedy world.
I started my adventure with painting rather late. But the search for what gives us true happiness, freedom and fulfilment may last our whole life. And it is entirely up to us what we decide to do. Creation gives me energy and is the way to express my thoughts, emotions and intuition.
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us”
– Oliver Wendell Holmes
