Inspirations for the Permeation series are drawn through observations and the feeling of the hard world of technology uniting with the organic form of man to form a single entirety, or interfering and disturbing the existing status quo. The increasingly fast technological development is so natural and obvious that we don’t even notice technology taking over our lives, permeating it. The combination of pure oil painting and artificial silicon or plastic seems incompatible, even contradictory, but is still possible. The patchwork of forms is deliberate and expresses the irreversible nature of the process which keeps going forward. The development of medicine and genetics causes us to have more and more artificial elements prolonging our lives… We must also create more and more artificial objects to survive as natural resources are no longer sufficient to satisfy the needs of humanity.  How far will this process progress?
